For one who does the Will of God, it is daylight; for one who does not, it is nighttime-Volume 20
Luisa- While I was saying this and other things, my sweet Jesus moved in my interior, and told me:
Jesus- “My daughter, in
my Will there are neither days nor nights, nor dawns nor sunsets, but Its day is one – always in the fullness of Its light.
And one who lives in It can say: ‘There are no nights for me, but it is always daylight. Therefore, one is my day.’ And
as she operates in order to do my Will and to carry out her life in It, she forms as many other lights, most refulgent,
within the day of her life, that render the day of my Will in which they live, more glorious and more beautiful. Do you
know for whom day and night, dawn and sunset, are formed? For one who now does my Will and now her own. If she
does Mine, she forms the day; if she does her own, she forms the night. One who lives fully in It forms the fullness of
the day. One who does not live fully in It, but does my Will only with strain, forms the dawn. One who laments about
what It disposes and wants to withdraw, forms the sunset. And for one who does not do my Will at all, it is always
perennial nighttime – the beginning of that eternal night of hell which will never end.”
Scripture Meditation– 22 And I saw no temple in the city, for its temple is the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb. 23 And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine upon it, for the glory of God is its light, and its lamp is the Lamb. 24 By its light shall the nations walk; and the kings of the earth shall bring their glory into it, 25 and its gates shall never be shut by day—and there shall be no night there. (Revelation 20:22-25).
Prayer Reflection- O Lord we bless You, we adore You, and we thank You because Your Will is perennial day and for those who live fully in it there is no night. Yet most of us live a little in, a little out most of the time causing us to form the dawn, the sunset, and the night. Sometimes we do Your Will but it is hard and difficult and rather than looking up and keeping our eyes on You we look around at ourselves and others. We are in the dawn of Your New Day but reliant on ourselves, we are not yet in the day. Or we complain, we say life’s not fair, we ask why and we just want to escape and often do into all sorts of attachments and entertainments or we just withdraw into our own heads. By doing so we are bringing the sunset to the Sun of Your Will. And if we rebel and sin and do not do Your Will at all making ourselves the god we follow then it is perennial night without repentance and Your Grace. While those of us reading this blog who are journeying into the Divine Will do want it to be perennial day in our souls if we are honest, we so often let the sun set, if even for brief moments day by day. Lord Jesus we thank You and love You for Your Mercy because You never give up on us and the resurrected life that You died to give us. In another passage from the Book of Heaven, often used while meditating on the First Glorious Mystery, You tell us the following-
One who lives in my Will can also say, ‘my will is not with me any longer – it is risen again in the Fiat.’ And if the circumstances of life, opportunities and sufferings surround the creature, as if they were looking for her will, she can answer: ‘my will is risen again, it is not in my power anymore. I possess, in exchange, the Divine Will, and I want to cover with Its light all things around me – circumstances and sufferings, to make them like many divine conquests.’ The soul who lives in our Will finds life in the acts of her Jesus, and as always, in this Life, she finds our operating, conquering, triumphant Will. She gives Us so much glory that Heaven cannot contain it. (Volume 36, April 20, 1938).
O Lord thank You so much for the answer to living always in the day- it is in fusing ourselves in Your Will where we find Your acts which always give life making us more than conquerors (Romans 8:37) despite our trials and circumstances, fiat!
