The effect of Jesus going to a soul- Volume 2

This morning, while seeing my sweet Jesus, I felt a fear in me that it might not be Him,
but the devil, to deceive me. And Jesus, answering my fear, told me: “When I am the one
that goes to the soul, all of her interior powers are annihilated and recognize their
nothingness; and I, seeing the soul humiliated, make my love overabound like many
streams, in such a way as to inundate her and strengthen her in good. All the opposite
happens when it is the devil.”

Scripture Meditation– ¹⁴ And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. (2 Corinthians 11:14).

Prayer Reflection- O Lord we thank You, we bless You, and we adore You because You are helping us today to discern if we are hearing Your Voice or the voice of another. The world, the flesh, the devil- some of these voices scream loudly for attention and some subtly and deceptively, it can be so hard to tell what is of You Lord especially in the world we live in. Add to the media we have had to deal with most of our lives social media and now, AI, and it is hard to know what is really true, good, and beautiful. And yet You give us the answer, almost right out of the Ignatian rules of discernment (wonder where he got those-LOL!). Because Your Love always overabounds (Luke 6:38) and strengthens us in good! And no other voice we may hear or presence we may feel will do that. You tell us also in the volumes that peace is a sign (July 17, 1907, Volume 8) of us living in the Divine Will. So let us first of all turn off the noise of the world and our passions and turn to You in the silence knowing Your Love will speak to us in volumes, pun intended!
